Queen's Award for Basingstoke NeighbourCare
Congratulations to Basingstoke NeighbourCare on the presentation of their Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services!
The group received the award last year but were unable to have a presentation service due to Covid restrictions.
The Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire Nigel Atkinson Esq attended a special gathering of Basingstoke NeighbourCare volunteers at the Apollo Hotel in July to mark the presentation of a signed certificate from Her Majesty the Queen, and a crystal award with the QAVS insignia.
The Lord Lieutenant added, “I have been judging for the QAVS since it started and the NeighbourCare nomination certainly was judged as being both very special and so much needed by the local community. I was impressed to see that you help over 500 people in the community.”
