October 2019

Wednesday 16th October 2019 is the GNN Annual Event

The Good Neighbours Annual Event is an opportunity to focus on the Network and the amazing gifts you give to your communities every day, this year we will be celebrating the GNN Year of Kindness, as we ask you to vote for a winner to the Kindness Competition.

Expect to enjoy some networking opportunities and a great lunch, be prepared to experience some informed thinking in the workshops and welcome our Keynote Speaker Dr Dev Chauhan, an advocate of social prescribing who will be talking about how volunteers and health are intrinsically linked.

AFTERNOON WORKSHOPS – by popular demand we have organised a First Aid workshop, please note this runs for two hours in the afternoon and places are limited. All other workshops are approx. 40 minutes and you are invited to attend a couple of different sessions.

Please contact nicky.dodd@goodneighbours.org.uk if your would like to join us on the day or have any questions.

Resource Cafés

We have really enjoyed getting out and about across the county, meeting you all at our Resource Cafes this Autumn – attendance at the cafes has grown, which always helps to make them more useful and vibrant, as ever it’s the stories and experience you share with each other that help the Network to continue to thrive.

We have introduced some new welcome packs for groups to use for new volunteers, which are available from My learning Cloud ( which is only available to GNN members)

GNN Team Leader Karen (right) meets with Liz and Andy from Thorngate group and John from the Wallops group.
