- What is it? A colourless, odourless gas.
- Symptoms include: Headaches, dizziness, vomiting, fatigue.
What should I do?
- Install a CO monitor in every room with a carbon fuel source…
- eg. your kitchen (if you have a gas stove or oven, or that’s where your boiler is)
- eg. your lounge (if you have a gas fire, a woodburning stove or an open fire)
- Place the monitor less than 3 metres from the appliance, and at least 15cm from the ceiling
- Check the monitor’s batteries, and test the device regularly
In case of emergency:
- Open all doors and windows
- Move outside
- Call the Emergency Gas Service: 0800 111 999
