Good Neighbours Network Toolkit

The Toolkit is an essential part of our Network of local groups having immediate access to free high quality training and resources. Access is available to all GN Network group leaders and volunteers only.

It contains E-learning courses and downloadable resources. Please do not be alarmed by the use of the word mandatory on the learning platform, all courses are highly recommended but are not mandatory, we are looking into the wording on the learning platform to be changed asap to reflect this.

If you already have your log in you can access the GNN My Learning Cloud site by just clicking on this link

To request access to the Network toolkit please contact us at the Hub by clicking on this link and we will guide you through the next steps. Please include your details & GNN group name!

What's in the Toolkit?

Free Downloadable Network  Resources

Volunteer recruitment and marketing? Older Drivers?  Safeguarding?  Just a few of the factsheets, templates and other documents available  All the Good Neighbours factsheets and templates for group policies and procedures and other useful documents are here. All these resources can be saved or printed.

Free E-Learning Courses

All courses are short and arranged in sections. You do not have to complete the whole course in one go, this can be done a section and at a time at your own pace. You need to complete a section before you can move onto the next one. An optional certificate of completion is available to print if completed individually. E-learning courses cannot be downloaded and require an internet connection to view.

There are 3 Courses available

Safeguarding Adults

  • This course usually takes 60 minutes to complete
  • All volunteers should be aware of basic safeguarding and complete the course ( and feedback form at the end as this is your evidence of completion and you will not be registered as completed without it)
  • It can be done individually or could be shown on a bigger screen as a training session

Food Hygiene Awareness

  • This course usually takes 45 minutes to complete
  • The course is suitable for food-handling volunteers at lunch clubs or other food based activities. We recommend that supervisors are trained to Level 3 standard.
  • It can be done individually or could be shown on a bigger screen as a training session.

Manual Handling

  • This course usually takes 45 minutes to complete
  • The course is suitable for anyone who wants a basic understanding of manual handling techniques.  It may be particularly useful to Coordinators and Drivers Reps. It does not cover moving and handling people which requires separate training.

The toolkit is for GN Network members only. Access to non-Network members without the express permission of the GNN Hub is strictly forbidden.
