Free E-Learning Courses

All courses are short and arranged in sections. You do not have to complete the whole course in one go, this can be done a section and at a time at your own pace. You need to complete a section before you can move onto the next one. An optional certificate of completion is available to print if completed individually. E-learning courses cannot be downloaded and require an internet connection to view.

There are 3 Courses available:

Safeguarding Adults

  • This course usually takes 60 minutes to complete
  • All volunteers should be aware of basic safeguarding and complete the course (and feedback form at the end as this is your evidence of completion and you will not be registered as completed without it)
  • It can be done individually or could be shown on a bigger screen as a training session

Food Hygiene Awareness

  • This course usually takes 45 minutes to complete
  • The course is suitable for food-handling volunteers at lunch clubs or other food based activities. We recommend that supervisors are trained to Level 3 standard.
  • It can be done individually or could be shown on a bigger screen as a training session.

Manual Handling

  • This course usually takes 45 minutes to complete
  • The course is suitable for anyone who wants a basic understanding of manual handling techniques. It may be particularly useful to Coordinators and Drivers Reps. It does not cover moving and handling people which requires separate training.
