OK, we know it’s not 2019, but as this was the last time we were able to host the GNN Annual Event, we wanted to leave up this page to remind you all just how beneficial the event is for networking, and what fun it can be sharing, laughing and eating with each other in person. WE LOOK FORWARD TO HOSTING ANOTHER SAFELY, SOMETIME SOON – meanwhile do share in the memory.
The 2019 annual event for Good Neighbours embraced the GNN YEAR OF KINDNESS with a focus on Celebrating Kindness.
The day was informative, light hearted and provided opportunities for all like minded Good Neighbours to share and applaud what it is they do each and every day. Our keynote speaker Dr Dev Chauhan (Clinical fellow at The Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, AOMRC) delivered some insight into the current workings and priorities for the NHS and the rise of social prescribing. This was followed by the anticipated network lunch ( always a goodie) and a range of afternoon workshops. The workshops offered guidance on basic first aid, that all important marketing and how to take the perfect picture along with a powerful section on resilience, which was particularly well received.
Thank you to everyone who came along and contributed – this annual event is always an important opportunity to show and tell the Good Neighbours story, learn something new and acknowledge our peers.
