Farewell and thank you Angela

As many of you will know our GNN ‘Guru’ Angela, who has been an active part of Good Neighbours for eight years is leaving us this month, (well sort of) we are managing to keep her involved on a part time consultancy basis until the end of the year to help troubleshoot any significant issues; meanwhile, a welcome to our two new advisors Vicky and Natalie, who each come with heaps of experience in the recruitment and support of volunteers and have been getting out and about across the network to say hello.

All of us at the Hub and around the Network will miss Angela’s pragmatism, ‘killer sense of humour’ and her delivery of the Resource Cafes initiative has been legendary.

Hartley Wintney Voluntary Care Group, 40th

Founded in 1977 to be good neighbours to people in Hartley Wintney, Heckfield, Mattingley and Winchfield, this group was one of the originals. They also set up and run the much applauded Forget-Me-Not-Cafe for those living with dementia and their friends, family and carers, and have just celebrated their 40th year in style.
